Serving the people of Roatán with Health in Sight Mission puts the focus where it belongs—on Christ and the people He created. Many came in with humility and left with restored sight, but what stood out most was their gratitude and joy. In moments as small as helping put on someone’s shoes and seeing her smile, the Lord reminded me that I am qualified through Him to serve for His glory. 1 Peter 4:10–11a says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ…”

Their thankfulness, kindness, and trust pointed so clearly back to a loving Father. It was a privilege to witness how He meets people in both physical and spiritual need, and to be reminded that when we are willing, He uses even the smallest acts for His greater purpose and glory.    Autumn
