June 2026 San Pedro Sula

Drs. Adeli, Tandon and Vakharia, three ophthalmologists from the US, traveled to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, to perform free cataract surgeries for indigent patients. Along with the kind and talented local ophthalmologists, Drs. Farjado and Cordova, they performed sight-restoring surgery on 30 patients, some of whom were blind with cataracts. Two of the doctors brought their high school age daughters to observe and help with patient care. This was the first mission trip organized by Health in Sight to this location in Honduras but the team very much looks forward to returning next year.
